The Eighth Twitter Best Practice for Dummies!
8. Keep Twitter Personal. Stop with the sending of DMs when I follow you. Auto DMs are unnecessary and annoying. http://turnthisthingoff.com/ Still want to send me a message? see #6
Although Tony Veroeven may be short in stature, he is big when it comes to social media. The guy spends more hours tweeting, linked-inning, reading blogs, sharing knowledge... all those web 2.0 things a company should do. Hence, he's Omnipress’ Conference 2.0™ & social media leader. Sometimes his coworkers call him "Conference Two Point Tony." Outside the office, Tony is a self-proclaimed “soccer dad” and he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his wife and two sons. He's a movie buff and has 78% of www.imdb.com committed to memory. And yes, he carries an iPhone with him at ALL times.
Absolutely agree, auto DM's make for a very robotic communication rather than a personal one :)
